When Irina joined BDO, she was looking for two things: a place where she could learn fast, and people she could genuinely connect with. Seven years later, she found both — and built something that goes beyond a career.

For Irina, good work isn’t reactive — it’s anticipatory. As a Director in Accounting, her mindset is shaped by the ability to see around corners: identifying risks before they surface, spotting opportunities others might miss, and always asking how things could work better.
Thinking beyond in my day-to-day work means anticipating risks before they become problems, identifying opportunities that aren’t immediately visible, and continuously looking for better ways of working so we can support our clients proactively.
Not all meaningful moments are big project wins. Sometimes they come in the form of a message from a colleague on an ordinary day. When Irina celebrated her seventh year at BDO, the messages she received were a reminder of something she’d been building all along — real, lasting connections.
Reading the messages from my colleagues was very emotional and meaningful for me. It reminded me how much support I have from my team and how much we grow together, not just professionally, but also as people. Moments like these make me feel a true sense of belonging at BDO.
Irina is quick to credit others for where she is today. Her coordinator has been both mentor and role model — a constant presence that shaped not just how she works, but who she has grown into. It’s the kind of support that compounds over time.
I can’t single out just one moment, because there have been many throughout my journey at BDO that made a real difference. I’m deeply grateful to my coordinator, who has been both a mentor and a role model, and to my team. Their support and commitment to shared growth have shaped my professional and personal development.
After seven years, the answer to ‘what motivates you?’ hasn’t changed for Irina — it’s still the people, the impact, and the shared satisfaction of doing something that matters. That consistency is itself a kind of proof.
What motivates me every day is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact for my clients and my team. Celebrating successes, overcoming challenges together, and knowing that my contribution helps the team grow keeps me motivated to bring my best every day.
