Step 3: Onsite meeting: interview and technical tests
Interviews:
A typical job interview consists of one or two meetings between you and representatives of BDO Romania; the potential supervisor of the vacant position is usually involved in the interview process together with an HR consultant. The meeting can be as short as 15 minutes; at BDO job interviews usually last 1 hour.
The primary purpose of the job interview is to assess your suitability for the job. This will take the form of a competency-based interview that will seek to assess your experience across a range of competencies required for the role.
For you it is a chance to assess the corporate culture and to understand the demands of the job we offer. So, the interview is an excellent opportunity for both sides to get to know each other. At BDO, our interviews really offer you the possibility to find out detailed information on us because we believe the interview is a two-way process: as important as it is for you to be chosen by us, it is also important for us to be chosen by you. You will have the chance to ask any questions at the end of the interview. Questions are strongly encouraged.
Technical/aptitude tests:
Sometimes (depending on the position), we use at least one other assessment method in addition to the face-to-face interview. This will be chosen by our recruitment team and again will seek to measure evidence of your skills across a range of competencies required for the role. Most often, there will be a technical test with questions and problems from the field you applied for, well adjusted to the level of knowledge required. Also you will be required to pass an English test. All are timed tests. Most of our tests are in multiple choices format so that it's easier for you to answer.
We will ensure that you are provided with all the information you need before your assessment, to enable you to prepare.
